Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan had a phone call today with Personal Representative of the Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk to discuss the situation on Armenian-Azerbaijani border and NK-Azerbaijan contact line.
Seyran Ohanyan expressed the concern about the constant destabilization of the situation by Azerbaijan. He stated that for the first time, the rival fired from a tank (125mm grenade) to the combat positions of the NK Defense Army the other day, which would entail escalation on a new level.
“The Defense Minister also highlighted the need for the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to address the issue together with power deterrence actions conducted by the Armenian side in order to keep the Azerbaijani side within the negotiations process”, the Defense Ministry states.
