Yerevan /Mediamax/. Lydian Armenia has conducted “environmental research unprecedented for Armenia”, the company told Mediamax today.

Chairman of the Armenian Investigative Committee Hayk Grigoryan said at the government’s session on August 8 that 300 documents and baseline data of around 20k pages had been provided to the experts within “reasonable deadlines” by Lydian Armenia.

Mediamax asked Lydian Armenia to comment on the information provided by Armenian Investigative Committee.

“As we have already stated on multiple occasions, we conducted environmental research unprecedented for Armenia, and we constructed a mining site designed in accordance with the best international standards.

As mentioned yesterday, the experts were provided with more than 300 documents. There was no request for clarification, that didn’t receive response in the form of the relevant research or scientific justification.

In general, we provided 20k pages of documents. This is more than enough to speak about the exclusive and even exemplary number and quality of environmental research, risk assessment, prevention measures both for Armenia and international practice. This is the proof of unprecedented work and transparency,” the company noted.
