Yerevan/Mediamax/. The head of the Office of the Armenian Second President Viktor Soghomonyan doesn’t think that Robert Kocharyan will take part in 2013 presidential elections.
Viktor Soghomonyan said this in an interview to Mediamax today:
“I have never heard of the second President’s desire to put forward his candidacy. Moreover, he has said the opposite for several times. I don’t think he will take part in the upcoming presidential election. But Robert Kocharian will necessarily come up with an assessment of the current political situation in nearest future: he planned to respond to one of several proposals and give a brief interview,” Viktor Soghomonyan said.
In reply to Mediamax’s question, Viktor Soghomonyan refuted the reports about Robert Kocharyan’s upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Robert Kocharyan is indeed in Moscow. The purpose of his visit is to attend the session of the Board of AFK Sistema. The meeting with Vladimir Putin is not planned,” he said.
