Yerevan /Mediamax/. Civil Contract faction deputies will nominate the candidacy of Vahagn Khachaturyan, Minister of High Tech Industry, during the upcoming snap presidential elections.

Head of the faction Hayk Konjoryan stated about it today.

The Armenian parliament speaker Alen Simonyan, who is currently the acting president, explained today the choice of the candidate:

“Other candidates were also discussed, a lot of different arguments were voiced. After long discussions this decision was made. It is difficult to say in two words why exactly him. I personally think we have chosen a very good candidate who, with his experience and decency will fulfill the envisaged duties.”
