Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell discussed the Karabakh conflict in a telephone conversation today.
Russian Foreign Ministry reports that “the tasks of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement in accordance with the Moscow statement of foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia have been discussed among other topics.”
On October 12 High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, spoke about the cooperation between the European Union and Russia on Nagorno-Karabakh settlement.
Following the meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg, Borrell was asked about EU-Russia relations in the light of Alexei Navalny’s poisoning and possible sanctions. He said that EU and Russia cooperate on various issues.
“For example, Russia is one of the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, and President Macron should talk to President Putin if we want to establish a ceasefire. We are not going to stop it because of the Navalny case,” said Josep Borrell.
