Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated today that “we are very close to, if not already facing, a humanitarian crisis in Karabakh conflict zone”.

At the meeting with foreign diplomats he pointed out that the only effective way to prevent this humanitarian crisis could be the recognition of the right of the people of Nagorno Karabakh to self-determination.

“The situation is currently tense especially in the southern direction, and we in fact don’t have a ceasefire. Armenia has clearly voiced its statement on maintaining ceasefire.

We expect the Co-Chairs to continue their efforts and we are ready to be constructive in this process. But we believe that the resumption of the negotiation process should take place in accordance with the logic of the statement adopted in the Moscow statement,” the Prime Minister said.

Nikol Pashinyan went on adding that “in this war the Armenian people are trying to resist the Genocide unleashed by against them.”
