Yerevan /Mediamax/. Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan has stated today that if Azerbaijan continues to violate the Russian-brokered humanitarian ceasefire in the next 1-2 days, Stepanakert will apply to Armenia to recognize Artsakh’s independence.

Speaking at a press conference today, Arayik Harutyunyan has noted that Artsakh will also apply to all countries with a proposal to recognize its independence.

“The states that support Azerbaijan today must realize that they support international terrorism, and their societies must also be aware of it,” the Artsakh President stressed.

He has observed that Azerbaijan pursues an openly genocidal policy towards the peaceful population of Artsakh and does so with the support of Turkey and international terrorist groups.

“It is time for the civilized world to move from calls toward more substantive steps and admit that international terrorism is penetrating the region today,” said Arayik Harutyunyan.

The Artsakh President has noted that “Azerbaijan uses rocket launchers and combat UAVs against the civilian population and expects us to agree to Baku’s demands after that.”

“It will not happen. Artsakh will not be part of Azerbaijan. Artsakh wants peace more than any other country in the world, but we cannot accept the terms of a state whose goal is to annihilate us,” concluded Arayik Harutyunyan.
