Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russian and Iranian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Hassan Rouhani have held "a comprehensive exchange of views on the situation in Karabakh conflict zone” during a phone conversation, initiated by the Iranian side.
“Vladimir Putin has briefed his Iranian counterpart in detail about the efforts that are being undertaken the Russia’s mediation to de-escalate tensions in the region.
The Iranian President has expressed support for the agreements reached on a humanitarian ceasefire as a result of trilateral consultations of the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as on the launch of substantive negotiations for an early achievement of a peaceful settlement,” the Kremlin said in a statement.
