Yerevan /Mediamax/. EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell has described as "hardly possible to fulfill” Azerbaijan’s demand to set a schedule for Armenian forces to withdraw from Nagorno-Karabakh.

TASS reports that speaking at the European Parliament meeting today, which considered the Karabakh conflict, Borrell said:

“The situation in the region is worsening. During the phone conversation with me, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan has stated his demands toward Armenia for ceasefire. It is a schedule for withdrawal of Armenian military from the region, which is hardly possible to fulfill.”

He has also warned about the danger of involving external powers in the conflict.
