Yerevan /Mediamax/. Today, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with his Armenian counterpart Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and expressed concern over the increase in casualties among the civilian population in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

“The need for an immediate ceasefire was emphasized. Readiness to assist the parties in returning the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement process to the political and diplomatic framework under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs in line with the October 1 joint statement of the presidents of Russia, United States and France, has been reaffirmed,” the press service of Russian Foreign Ministry reports.
