Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergey Lavrov said today that “Russia welcomes the course of normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations.”

TASS reports that speaking at a news conference after negotiations with Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, Lavrov said:

“The first meeting of special representatives on the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations has been organized, the minister will surely tell about this. We welcome the course of normalization of these bilateral ties between the two neighboring countries.”

To note, the special representatives of Armenia and Turkey have already held two meetings.
