Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russian President’s Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has explained today why Vladimir Putin has had several phone conversations with Armenian Prime Minister and none with the Azerbaijani and Turkish leaders since the start of the recent escalation of Karabakh conflict.
TASS reports that according to Peskov, “it depends on the presidents’ schedules and the advisability.”
“It does not mean the Russian side has shortage of work contacts. Foreign Minister Lavrov is always in touch with his Azerbaijani and Turkish counterparts. The Russian-Turkish and Russian-Azerbaijani dialogue, the same as Russian-Armenian dialogue on Karabakh conflict, is held on regular basis and at the highest level,” underlined Peskov.
He does not rule out phone conversations may be organized between Putin, Aliev and Erdogan. --
