Yerevan /Mediamax/. President of Greece Prokopis Pavlopoulos will pay an official visit to Armenia on November 5 at the invitation of Armenian President Armen Sarkissian.
President Sarkissian will hold an official welcoming ceremony for Prokopis Pavlopoulos at his residence and later hold a private meeting with him. Afterwards the delegations of the two countries will convene an extended meeting.
The Greek delegation is going to visit the Tsitsernakaberd memorial dedicated to the Armenian Genocide, lay flowers at the monument commemorating the genocide victims and take a tour in the genocide museum-institute.
President Pavlopoulos is expected to meet Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Parliament Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan as well. In Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin Pavlopoulos will be received by Catholicos Karekin II.
The Greek delegation will also visit the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran) and meet with members of the local Greek community.
