Yerevan /Mediamax/. Representative of the Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated today that the enemy’s offensive operations continued along the entire border of Artsakh throughout the day, and the most active battles took place in the northern, central and southern directions.

“In the central section, local fights with subversive groups which tried to break through continued in the direction of specific settlements. At the moment the battles continue.

Different enemy troops tried to advance in various parts of the south front, but all attempts were stopped and repelled. In some places the enemy suffered significant losses, including armored vehicles,” said Artsrun Hovhannisyan.

Commenting on Ilham Aliyev’s statement on the “full restoration of control over the Azerbaijani-Iranian border”, Artsrun Hovhannisyan said:

“If the enemy sees the River Araks in certain areas, it is absolutely not a restoration of the border control.”
