Yerevan /Mediamax/. Representative of the Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated that today early in the morning, Azerbaijani armed forces launched an offensive in the north and in the south.

“Following long artillery shelling, backed by UAVs, missiles and air force, they launched a large-scale offensive. After at least two fierce attacks, the Armenian Armed Forces managed to repel the enemy in the northern direction. They failed to occupy any heights or positions,” he said.

Artsrun Hovhannisyan noted that heavy battles continued in the southern direction throughout the day. In some directions the Armenian troops carried out regrouping. According to Hovhannisyan, heavy and fierce battles continue in the southern direction.
