Yerevan, February 19. /Mediamax/. Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia (CEC) Tigran Mukuchyan believes that "a new quality election was held on February 18.’
At today’s meeting with the reporters, Tigran Mukuchyan said that in comparison with previous elections this time the members of election commissions treated their work with more responsibility and were better prepared, Mediamax reports.
“I can say that elections were held in a normal way in line with the Electoral Code of Armenia,” said Tigran Mukuchyan.
According to him, the CEC has not received any written complaints yet and all the reports about violations have been studied.
When asked about the quality of the election ink, Tigran Mukuchyan said that the stamp was erased in some passports as a result of artificial interference.
It should be added that the final results of the voting will be published on February 25.
Applications on the recount of votes can be submitted to CEC today by 18:00.
