Yerevan /Mediamax/. The Armenian government has imposed a temporary ban on the import of final consumer goods of Turkish origin.
The ban will take effect in December 31, 2020.
“The restriction on import of Turkish goods implies primarily a security component, taking into account the repeatedly confirmed facts of Turkey’s open support for military and terrorist operations Azerbaijan has unleashed against the Artsakh Republic.
The ban on the import of the goods Turkish of origin suspends the financial supply of the Turkish state treasury from Armenian sources and prevents entry of possible threats into Armenia through the import of final consumer goods from a hostile country,” the government said in a statement.
