Yerevan /Mediamax/. Opening the session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has stated that it is taking place in a difficult situation for Armenia.
“For two weeks now, fighting continues along the line of contact between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan, involving all types of modern weapons. The cities and villages of Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia, civilian facilities and infrastructure are under missile and artillery fire. There are dead and wounded, including among the civilians,” said Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister of Armenia has also stated that despite the difficulties, “our nation is united as never before, full of determination to fight to the end and to defend our freedom and independence.”
“I want to thank all members of the delegations for coming to Armenia in such extraordinary conditions and let you know we appreciate it highly,” he said.
