Armenia and the United Arab Emirates have significant potential in economic cooperation, especially in the sectors of agriculture, jewelry, diamond manufacturing, renewable energy, chemical industry, and information technologies. Armen Sarkissian suggested to the crown prince to send a delegation to Armenia to learn more about opportunities of collaboration in the mentioned sectors.
Negotiations with the Minister of State
President Sarkissian discussed the potential for cooperation with UAE Secretary of State Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber as well.
“The United Arab Emirates have a clear objective of forming important, strategic relations with Armenia, which is a wonderful country. We have outlined a broad range of areas of cooperation during the President’s visit, which will lead to great results and mutual benefit for both countries,” said Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber.

“Facebook” revolution
Apart from official meetings, Armen Sarkissian is also involved in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW). The President will deliver a speech on the global risks of the 21st century during the forum.
Earlier, President Sarkissian spoke about sustainability at the gala dinner for over 4000 participants of the forum, citing his book “Quantum behavior of global risks”. He noted that the 21st century is a time for rapid revolutions not only in science, technology and trade, but also in the daily life.
“Armenia can serve as an example. I became President around a year ago, on April 9. The revolution had already begun, and it started with five people, who later became a hundred, five hundred, a thousand, five thousand. Within two weeks, we had a revolution made by hundreds of thousands of people. It was not organized, and it wasn’t done by a political force. It was a “Facebook” revolution, a 21st century revolution,” said Armen Sarkissian.
