Yerevan /Mediamax/. Starting from July 1, Armenian businessmen should work "in a field equal for everyone”.

Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said this at the governmental session today touching upon his meeting with major employers, Mediamax reports.

“We have discussed the terms of coordination and set new rules of the game”, he said.

The PM added that they reached an agreement according to which employers should operate in an equal field and do their best to reduce “the shadow”.

“In case the rules of the game are violated, the government will use all the levers to address the issues”, said Hovik Abrahamyan.

Talking to journalists, Minister of Economy of Armenia Karen Chshmarityan said that the country’s economy is in the phase of new legal and eceonomic relations.

“The solution the problem - reduction of the “shadow economy”, settlement of relations between SME and major enterprises - is considerably linked to acceptance of rules of the game by employers”, he said.

According to the Minister, the government aims not to increase budget revenue but address the issue of redistribution of the revenues.

“Centralization of the revenue on the economy has rather a negative impact and redistribution of the revenue is one of the bases for a country’s economy. It’s critical that revenues be redistributed among all the society layers”, said Karen Chshmarityan.
