Yerevan /Mediamax/. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu today has announced that Turkish government wants to extend the format of cooperation for the Karabakh conflict settlement.
TASS reports he has made the statement in Istanbul, at the joint press conference with Iranian FM Mohammad Javad Zarif.
“The ceasefire needs to be facilitated. We plan to cooperate in a “3+3” format. The intent for settlement of the conflict in South Caucasus is not enough, a stable ceasefire must be achieved through cooperation,” he said as quoted by TASS, noting that the format should include Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran, Georgia, and Turkey.
Mevlut Cavusoglu has also noted that “peace and stability in region are in the interest of all parties, especially Armenia and Armenian people.”
“We expect constructive steps in this direction from Armenia,” he said.
