Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russia’s Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov has stated today the need to thwart attempts by mercenaries and terrorists to infiltrate the Karabakh conflict zone.

RIA Novosti reports that while addressing the coordinating council of prosecutors general of CIS member states, Krasnov said:

“For the last 25 years, we have jointly created mechanisms to ensure the protection of the rights of CIS states’ citizens and we must not allow these mechanisms to be destroyed. Our primary task is to protect people and ensure their right to a dignified, safe, peaceful life, including through suppression of any attempts to penetrate the territory of the conflict by mercenaries and terrorists, people who profit from ammunition trafficking and finance terrorist acts.”
