Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with newly elected President of Iran Hassan Rouhani in Tehran today.
The Armenian presidential press service reports that the two Presidents discussed a broad scope of issues related to both bilateral and multilateral relations.
The sides stressed that the agenda of Armenia-Iran cooperation is rather rich and indicates implementation of a number of major projects. Expressing the content over high-level cooperation between Armenia and Iran based on the traditional long-centuries friendship, Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Hassan Rouhani stressed the necessity of bringing the cooperation into a new higher level.
The sides also touched upon regional issues particularly the current state of negotiations process of the NK conflict.
Serzh Sargsyan and Hassan Rouhani were happy to recall their meetings as Secretaries of National Security Councils and expressed the readiness to work toward deepening of Armenia-Iran cooperation with same efforts.
