Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenia together with a number of European countries has joined the sanctions of the European Union against North Korea.
“The European Union takes into consideration and welcomes the decision of these countries,” EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton said.
Together with Armenia, Moldova, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Lichtenstein, Island and Norway have joined EU sanctions against North Korea, RIA Novosti reports.
In February, EU adopted a new package of sanctions against North Korea in connection with nuclear tests in this country. Sanctions include introduction of a number of new names and organizations into the black list that are banned to enter the territory of the community, and their accounts in European banks are to be frozen.
New sanctions against North Korea were approved by the UN Security Council.
