Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russia is ready to host the meeting of foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, the statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry following separate telephone conversations of Sergey Lavrov with foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan reads.

“The Russian side expressed serious concern over ongoing large-scale hostilities and called for immediate ceasefire and de-escalation of tension, as well as for the prevention of provocative and militant rhetoric. The need for the parties to return to the negotiation stable has been emphasized. Lavrov stressed that Russia will continue, both in its national capacity and together with other co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, to make mediation efforts aimed at creating conditions for resolving the conflict by political and diplomatic means,” the statement reads.
