Yerevan /Mediamax/. The number of COVID-19 tests conducted daily has increased in Armenia recently.

Health Minister’s Spokesperson Alina Nikoghosyan has told Mediamax that there are two reasons for this increase: reduction of the requirements for getting a test and the start of the academic year.

“As we reduced the requirements, more people applied for testing. Universities and schools reopen soon and people are going to have more interest in getting tested. We are trying to determine risk groups and get people tested,” she said.

Alina Nikoghosyan has also announced that the Health Ministry has started testing teachers for COVID-19.

“In order to start working, they need to go to their polyclinics with filled-out forms and get tested,” she explained.
