Yerevan /Mediamax/. Spokeswoman for the Armenian Defense Ministry Shushan Stepanyan has stated that Azerbaijan resumed large-scale offensive operations along almost the entire line of contact with Artsakh early in the morning, using TOS-1A heavy flamethrower systems.

“The use of TOS, Smerch and other large-caliber systems by Azerbaijan changes the logic and scope of hostilities, raising them to a new level.

In this regard, the Ministry of Defense warns that the Armenian side is forced to use the types of weapons and military equipment that have a major impact on large areas in terms of fire damage and the consequent destruction of enemy’s personnel, movable and immovable assets. At this moment, the units of Artsakh Defense Army are confidently repelling the attacks, causing Azerbaijani armed forces heavy losses of equipment and personnel,” said Shushan Stepanyan.
