Yerevan/Mediamax/. Acting Defense Minister of Armenia Davit Tonoyan has had a meeting with Defense Minister of Afghanistan Tariq Shah Bahrami in Kabul.

He has traveled to Afghanistan for a working visit today, said Armenian Defense Ministry Spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan. 

According to him, the two ministers discussed the state of affairs in the region, the military and political situation in Afghanistan, the activities of Armenian peacekeepers and other relevant topics.

Davit Tonoyan suggested a discussion on possible education for Afghan students in Armenia in the context of developing bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation in humanitarian sector.

In his turn, Tariq Shah Bahrami thanked Davit Tonoyan for visiting Afghanistan and for the work of Armenian peacekeepers involved in the Afghanistan mission.
