Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Ministry of Health made a statement on behalf of medical community condemning the act of taking doctors as hostages.
“The members of armed group took 2 doctors - Norayr Tevanyan and Salvador Khechoyan, paramedic Davit Tonoyan, nurse Malina Margaryan as hostages: the latters had entered Police Station area to perform their medical duty earlier. Attempt to assault doctors is internationally unacceptable and reprehensible phenomenon'', the statement reads.
Armenian medical community demanded the immediate release of the hostage medical personnel without any preconditions.
