Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will soon meet Armenian-American scientists at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
He made that announcement during his speech in University of Cyprus on March 16.
“I’m going to visit the United States in a few days, and we will hold a meeting with Luys Foundation students and Armenian-American scientists at Massachusetts Institute of Technology among other events, providing them an opportunity to communicate, create professional and academic ties,” said Armenian President.
“Joining Bologna Procces in 2005, Armenia formed for itself a platform for new cooperation opportunities with Europe, and received new mechanisms for best implementation of international experience. In this regard, I am glad that UWC Dilijan College, which is a part of United World Colleges educational movement, works in Armenia. It united 100 students from around 60 countries under its roof,” noted Armenian President.
Serzh Sargsyan said that at only 8 Armenian citizens were studying at top 20 universities in the world when Luys Foundation’s educational project was launched.
“We got over 200 graduates from top 10 universities in the world in the past 8 years, and more than 100 students are now studying at those universities,” said the President.
