Yerevan /Mediamax/. Officials from United States and France will arrive in Moscow today to discuss issues of Karabakh settlement.
This was stated by the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, TASS reports.
Addressing the parliament on November 17, Foreign Minister of France Jean-Yves Le Drian said:
“A meeting will be held tomorrow to clarify all the doubtful issues regarding the ceasefire.”
He emphasized that the ceasefire agreements that have been reached “were necessary to save the lives of thousands of people.”
“On the other hand, the ceasefire doesn’t settle the conflict and doesn’t resolve main problems. These discussions have already begun between French President Emmanuel Macron and Russian President Vladimir Putin,” Le Drian said.
He recalled that he had discussed these issues the day before with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
Jean-Yves Le Drian noted that the “unclear issues” particularly refer to refugees, the presence of Turkey, and the beginning of negotiations on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh.
