Yerevan /Mediamax/. Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia Sergey Naryshkin accused a number of western countries of trying to reignite the conflict in Nagorno Karabakh to “out Russia from Transcaucasia.”

“According to the information we have, some western countries provoke Armenian and Azerbaijani nationalists to discredit and break the ceasefire agreement. They are trying to convince the Armenians that the peace in Nagorno-Karabakh is a “defeat” for Yerevan. Azerbaijanis, on the other hand, are told that the Kremlin “stole their victory,” TASS quotes Naryshkin as saying.

According to him, “leading NATO states are trying to hide their irritation with the ceasefire agreement reached with the active participation of Russia.”

“The United States and its allies are annoyed that the war was stopped with the mediation of Moscow. After all, it has essentially “zeroed” their work of many years aimed at ousting Russia from the Transcaucasia,” Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia stated.
