Yerevan /Mediamax/. Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan stated today that the “Artsakh Defense Army continues to heroically withstand the enemy and gives powerful counterattacks to the adversary, inflicting huge losses in manpower and equipment.”

“We see the active efforts of the Russian Federation and the international community to end the hostilities and highly appreciate them,” Arayik Harutyunyan said in his address to the people.

Speaking about the agreements on humanitarian truce reached in Moscow on October 10, which Azerbaijan ignores, Arayik Harutyunyan said:

“Taking advantage of this opportunity, already the next day the enemy launched fierce military operations almost along the entire line of contact and especially in the southern direction. The enemy managed to break in some sectors, gain advantage somewhere and move the front to deeper sectors. We understand that we have only one way out: force the enemy to truce.”

According to the Artsakh President, Azerbaijan’s goal is not to resolve the problem, but to exterminate the Armenians of Artsakh and, if they succeed, devastate Armenia.

“We had more difficult times. We managed to win because we believed in victory. And today we believe that we will win. I look forward to the active involvement of Karabakhi people living in Armenia and in the Diaspora. Today is a crucial time for defending their homeland and living with dignity. I urge everyone to participate not merely materially but physically as well, today we need this,” Arayik Harutyunyan concluded.
