Yerevan/Mediamax/. A legally binding treaty is an important prerequisite for easing the armed confrontation.

Seyran Ohanyan said this on April 8 during a meeting with Minsk Group co-chairs Igor Popov, James Warlick, Pierre Andieux and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.

Presenting the situation, Seyran Ohanyan drew the attention of the co-chairs towards main features of the Azerbaijani open aggression, including the war crimes committed against the Armenian military servicemen and civilians and gross violations of other norms of armed conflicts.

“ Despite the readiness to take up new favorable frontiers to restrain the rival, Armenia still continues to rely on the peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict”, noted Seyran Ohanyan.
