Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan and Head of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Claire Meytraud discussed the opportunities for increasing the efficiency of cooperation.

According to the Armenian MoD, the sides touched upon increased tensions at Nakhijevan section of Armenian-Azerbaijani border. 

Expressing her concern about the lives of civilians, as well as the dangers for their health and property, Claire Meytraud expressed readiness to cooperate with the Armenian authorities to launch a pilot program in one of the most vulnerable communities, aimed at reducing the risks, which implies constructing protective walls in community schools, kindergartens and areas under shelling, as well as raising awareness.
