Yerevan/Mediamax/. Spokesman for Armenian President Armen Arzumanyan described as "absolute nonsense” the publication that during the CIS Summit in Moscow on December 19 "scuffle” emerged between the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“It’s natural that nothing of the kind could have happened at such high level meetings. As for awarding representatives of CIS member states, I should say that Azerbaijan did not submit the list of candidates for the award, and therefore none of them was awarded,” Armen Arzumanyan said in an interview to Mediamax.

Today, “Haykakan Zhamanak” daily wrote quoting its sources that on December 19, a squabble emerged between the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Kremlin, which almost turned into a “scuffle”. According to the newspaper, the reason was the fact that the representative of Azerbaijan was awarded in connection with the 20th anniversary of CIS, and Ilham Aliyev spoke against awarding Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan with the same similar award.
