Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said that Armenia thinks positively of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s offer on setting up a Eurasian union in the post-Soviet space.
“It’s a prospective offer and is in tune with the times”, said the PM during his meeting with teaching staff and students of the State University of Finance and Economy in Saint-Petersburg today.
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said a day before that the treaty on establishing a free trade zone signed with the CIS member states would contribute to enhancing the volumes of trade turnover.
“The document will give a new impetus to the integration processes and our countries’ further economic growth. Prime Ministers of the CIS member states exhibited a political will to have signed the document. I think it’s a historical day which proves that the CIS is moving toward the right direction”, said the PM during the press conference in Saint-Petersburg on October 18.
Tigran Sargsyan also noted that the treaty on establishing a free trade zone in CIS will contribute to moderating and overcoming possible financial and economic blows.
