Yerevan /Mediamax/. Spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan Leyla Abdulayeva stated that Baku doesn’t intend to maintain a long-lasting ceasefire.
“Azerbaijan’s goal is to liberate the lands and this has been frequently stated at the presidential level. We will go to the end. There can be no talks like “some villages have been liberated, the rest remain.” The purpose of this humanitarian ceasefire is to exchange prisoners and fallen soldiers, but this is not the end of the war.
Now we are receiving calls for a ceasefire and reduction of escalation from everywhere, but we are saying that we have been negotiating for 30 years, and there was no result. The ceasefire should not be interpreted as a cessation of liberation of lands,” Leyla Abdullayeva said live on CNN Turk.
