Yerevan /Mediamax/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada François-Philippe Champagne stated today that the country suspends the sale of technology to Turkey being used in the production of drones.

“Over the last several days, certain allegations have been made regarding Canadian technology being used in the military conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. Upon learning of these allegations, I immediately directed Global Affairs Canada to investigate these claims. I have suspended the relevant export permits to Turkey, so as to allow time to further assess the situation,” said Canada François-Philippe Champagne.

Today, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau stated that he is sending the Foreign Minister to Europe to discuss the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.

“I would like Canadians to know that I have asked the Foreign Minister to travel to Europe to discuss with our allies the developments in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, particularly in Nagorno-Karabakh”, Justin Trudeau said today.
