Yerevan /Mediamax/. The government of Armenia has extended the state of emergency for 30 days at the extraordinary meeting today.

This is the 5th extension of the state of emergency, which was first declared in Armenia on March 16.

Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan has announced that this extension will have fewer strict rules.

“We will allow entry into the country to people without Armenian citizenship. The arrivals will have to self-isolate for 14 days if hospitalization is not necessary, but it will be possible to get tested in the mentioned period of time and cancel self-isolation if the test result is negative. The ban on assembly and walkout will be lifted and replaced with certain regulations. We will also lift some restrictions on family recreation and other types of recreational events: they will be allowed in open-air and indoor spaces, if they feature no more than 40 participants,” explained Badasyan.

The National Assembly will convene a meeting today to discuss the details of the extension of the state of emergency.
