Yerevan, June 24. /Mediamax/. This year, a new competition program of short movies "Stone” will be presented within the framework of "Golden Apricot” International Film Festival in Yerevan.

Mediamax reports that 135 movies were presented for participation in “Stone”, and 25 films with the duration of up to 30 minutes entered the competition program.

One of the Project Coordinators, Movie Director Vardan Hakobyan said that the new program aims at assisting young directors. In his turn, Director Gagik Kazare noted that many famous directors started their career from the format of short movies.

This year “Golden Apricot” will take place on July 10-17.
