Yerevan/Mediamax/. The community of Luys Foundation plans to create a think tank.
The foundation has revealed on its Facebook page that the plan was announced by member of the Board of Trustees, former Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan as he gave a speech ahead of Prof. Jeff Kucik’s (University of Arizona) lecture “The cost of anxiety in domestic politics” on November 23.
Vigen Sargsyan said the board offered him the position of CEO and he gladly accepted it.
“Vigen Sargsyan noted that the Board of Trustees intends to found a top-level think tank in the region. The community of Luys Foundation will direct its potential to developing all key sectors of the state,” the foundation said in a press statement.
“The research center “Luys” will involve not only foundation’s alumni, but also the best analysts and researchers from Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora, who will be given the opportunity to serve the republic of Armenia in the framework of their professional activities. We will release detailed information about the operation and programs of the center in the near future,” added the foundation.
