Yerevan /Mediamax/. The Azerbaijani MFA and administration have come up with criticism of the statements, made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on August 5 in Stepanakert.
Hikmet Hajiyev, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, stated that “by calling the occupied territories of Azerbaijan Armenia, Pashinyan proved once again that occupation is the true path of Yerevan”.
“Armenia insults the norms and principles of the international law and destroys the negotiations process. Following Pashinyan’s statement, Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group should answer the question about the future of the negotiations process,” Hajiyev said.
He stated that “due to the provocations and destructive statements by the Armenian side, the region will have to face new dangers and risks”.
According to Interfax, the Azerbaijani MFA stated that “Pashinyan’s aggressive statements act against the spirit and aim of the negotiations process”.
