Yerevan /Mediamax/. Acting Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian has bid farewell to the staff of the ministry. At the meeting, he has said: “When I took the office of foreign Minister, I stated that diplomacy was not defeated, and today too I insist that our diplomacy is not defeated.”

“I believe our international partners have seen that Armenia is not defeated, Artsakh is not defeated, the Armenian people are not defeated. Our enemies have realized that too,” stated Aivazian.

According to him, the resignation was a difficult decision.

“When I took this position, I had one standard: this ministry, birthed by independence, must defend unwaveringly our sovereignty, our independence, our state and national interests. I hope I have not let you down. My resignation is to show there should never be any doubt that this ministry can do something or agree to ideas or initiatives that go against our statehood and national interests,” stated Ara Aivazian.
