Yerevan/Mediamax/. President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian received U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy on November 12. During the meeting, the President highlighted his appreciation for the U.S. government’s support for Armenia.
Armen Sarkissian also remarked that “each, even small step can have huge results”.
Ambassador Tracy said that the U.S. is inclined to develop productive partnership with Armenia and underlined that there are plenty of opportunities to achieve positive changes.
The parties exchanged views on new possibilities of cooperation between Armenia and the United States. President Sarkissian introduced the ambassador to the events scheduled for 2020 in the framework of the presidential initiatives, including Armenian Summit of Minds and the 6th STARMUS Festival.
Armen Sarkissian also told Lynne Tracy about his ATOM initiative, which is designed to advance modern technologies and science in Armenia, particularly by bringing large international IT and high tech companies to Armenia in order to take the country into the ranks of global AI and mathematical modeling centers. Sarkissian suggested to Ambassador Tracy to consider Armenia-U.S. cooperation in the framework of ATOM.
