Yerevan/Mediamax/. The Armenian side is ready to support the Centre of Armenian Studies of Hebrew University of Jerusalem to expand its opportunities.
Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan said this at the meeting with Ambassador of Israel to Armenia Eliav Belotserkovsky.
The sides discussed the opportunities of cooperation with Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation MASHAV in sectors of science and education, particularly, in the context of training of specialists and exchange of experts.
The ambassador expressed the readiness of the Israeli side to host the Armenian students who intend to receive postgraduate education and carry out post-doctoral research.
“We attach more and more importance to the development of relations with Armenia. As Armenia, Israel too isn’t rich with natural resources. Our main wealth is our human resources, and investments in education sector are essential in this sense,” he noted.
The interlocutors also touched upon the operation of Zharangavorats Theological Seminary of Jerusalem at Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
