Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated today that he has made “an important political decision” by appointing Suren Papikyan in the post of minister of defense.
Today the prime minister introduced Suren Papikyan to the staff of the Ministry of Defense and to the senior officer staff of the Armed Forces.
“Dear generals and officers, our country is facing serious strategic challenges, and we have no right not to manage these challenges in accordance with the interests of Armenia, Artsakh and the Armenian people. The country’s leadership has a clear idea of what steps are needed to successfully bring the country out of the crossroads of these strategic challenges, to pave the way for lasting and sustainable development, and we will go that way,” the prime minister noted.
